Agreed.
Meeting people like this made me realize there is truth in the saying “ignorance is bliss”. Reminds me of a funny story.
I once started a conversation with the owners and managers of a small company in Texas as we were driving to lunch. They had Limbaugh yelling on the radio before we started talking.
And you do the usual chit chat, you know. Superbowl, the “surprising” number of food options in Marshall, TX and so on. It was freezing in the first week of March when I was visiting them, so I brought that up. One thing lead to another and they accidentally found themselves agreeing to climate change without realizing it for a good minute or two (because I never said climate change or introduced the concept in our conversation). Once they realized, they abruptly changed the topic lol
